Dirty Drivers

Sometimes I wish I could just have the whole road to myself. I get so tired of people putting my safety at jeopardy with their irresponsible driving. I live in Bossier on Airline Drive, right across the street from Wal-Mart. People in front of Wal-Mart drive like they do inside of Wal-Mart....CRAZY. I have to get in the turn lane to get into my apartment complex and the people who want to turn the other way into Wal-Mart try to hit me because I am some how in their way...as if Wal-Mart is going somewhere.

At least once a day on my way to or from LSUS, my safety is put in jeopardy. It seems like someone will cut me off, be more preoccupied with the cell phone conversation they are having, or just simply not know how to drive. I wonder if they are giving out drivers licenses in cracker jack boxes now days.

I know I am rambling on about something that is outside of my control...I just feel as though people need to take into consideration that I like my life and they have no right to put my safety at risk!

  1. I feel your pain. I used to go to BPCC when the campus was right by Airline High. It was awful! To make matters worse, my algebra class let out at the same time the high school did. Talk about chaos. Now I try not to drive during high traffic times, but sometimes I have to. I am always amazed by the people talking or texting while they are driving. Big idiots! I wish I could see a cop pull them over and write them a ticket. Maybe then they would learn.

  2. I know what you mean. I wish I could have the road to myself, too. I rarely go to Bossier becasue traffice is heavy. The texting definately needs to stop, what are they thinking?

  3. I feel the same way. People are so careless. I have seen people on the phone and eating at the same time. People need to be more careful when they drive! There not the only ones on the road.

  4. Oh, on my way in to Shreveport most days, I pass a guy who's reading the newspaper spread over his steering wheel--I'm not lying!

I think we're all in such a hurry these days; we don't want to wait. As long as you drive defensively, you'll be okay. But it's a pain to have to watch out for lunatics all the time!
